Dreamwave is about nostalgia. It’s about hearing something that makes you think of the last day of school, getting off the school bus and running through bright green lawns that’ll be your playground for the rest of summer.
Apart from visuals, David Lynch was also sound; music often felt like a character in his films and series. Songs lost their innocence through the disturbing scenes in which they shone, and overtly nostalgic music suddenly seemed to come from another world.
